Therapist Accepting Clients

I come to psychotherapy from a background in social justice advocacy and adult education. I hold therapy as a human relationship based on care, respect, and remembering our freedom.

As your therapist, I listen deeply to your experience and honor the wisdom and strength already present within you. At your own pace, we will gently explore painful and stuck places so that we can invite understanding, compassion, and new choices into your daily life. We will also look critically at systems of oppression and their impact on your experience. Through growing awareness and self-trust, we will strive to unlock energy and imagination to build the life and relationships you long for.

I have experience supporting clients with intergenerational and cultural trauma; the long-term effects of childhood abuse and neglect; sexual orientation and gender identity; grief and shame; spirituality and meaning-making; anti-racist identity formation; survivor's guilt; and life transitions, both chosen (e.g. parenthood, career change) and not (e.g. illness, violence).

I hold an orientation of nonviolence, anti-racism, queer delight, mindfulness, and ecological thinking in my life and work. I support my own well-being through body-based awareness and care practices, community engagement, art-making, dreamwork, personal therapy, and relatedness with living systems. I hold a MA in Integral Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies and a BA in English from Wesleyan University.
